The fast food chain has been rolling out its plant-based “Impossible Burger” across Europe and the US in recent months.

However, Florida man Phillip Williams said he was not warned when ordering the burger that it would be cooked on the same grills as beef burgers.

In documents filed with a US federal court in Miami, Mr Williams said he would not have bought the burger if he knew it was “covered in meat by-products”.

He is seeking damages for everyone in the US who bought the vegan burger and an injunction requiring the chain to “plainly disclose” the way it is cooked.
