Sen Dan S Sullivan, the Republican incumbent, was endorsed by former Anchorage mayor Dan A Sullivan last week ahead of November’s election, where he will face fellow Republican Dan J Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola.

“As the OG Dan Sullivan, I urge Alaskans to vote for Sen. Daniel S. Sullivan. He’s been great for Alaska,” the former mayor said.

Dan J Sullivan faced an attempt to remove him from the ballot over claims his campaign was designed to confuse voters. A judge ruled in June that he could remain in the race.

Republicans have accused him of being a Democratic plant, but the retired teacher denies the allegation.
