A top TV producer screamed “get ready to die” at a bewildered motorist in a botched citizen’s arrest captured on a smartphone camera.
Fergus Beeley, producer of some David Attenborough nature documentaries, has been subject to online mockery after a video emerged online of him screaming at a family in a supermarket car park.
He attempts to put the driver under a citizen’s arrest, announcing: “Put your hands on the car and get ready to die - this is a citizen’s arrest!”
Later pointing at the man, the woman and their 11-year-old grandson, he screams: “You’re under a citizen’s arrest, you’re under a citizen’s arrest - and I tell you what, you are, too!”
When police arrived at the car park near Southampton, nobody was taken into custody, but allegations of assault by both of the men were recorded and filed.
