And finally… caught out

A man who taunted police on social media with a message reading “catch me if you can” has been jailed for eight years.

More than 5,500 people liked 20-year-old Jordan Carr’s comment on a post seeking his whereabouts in connection with an aggravated burglary in Bedfordshire, England.

A senior police officer told the BBC: “He challenged us to catch him if we could. We did, and he is now going to prison for a very long time.”

Mr Carr was recently found guilty of a string of violent offences and has now been sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment and three years on license.
