And finally… can only go so-fa
Police in North Carolina have urged motorists to put safety first after officers stopped two men travelling down a road on what they described as “an actual couch”.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the incident was “certainly a first”, after officers spotted the pair travelling along S. Tryon Street on a couch balanced across two electric scooters.
“While we appreciate the creativity, we do have to remind everyone: no matter what you’re ‘driving’ (using that term extremely loosely), please think about safety first,” police said.
They also questioned whether such a vehicle belonged on a road with other cars, noting that the sight could distract other drivers and cause them to drive unsafely.
Police did not say whether the men were cited for their unconventional mode of transport.
