And finally… blind stupidity
A bank robber who hid his face with a pillowcase had to remove it mid-robbery when he realised he couldn’t see through it.
Matthew Davies, 47, forgot to make eye holes in the pillowcase he put over his head while robbing a bank in Dunfermline last year.
He threatened staff with a meat cleaver and made off with £1,980, but was followed home by a witness and subsequently arrested.
Police recovered the cash – and the pillowcase – from his home.
Mr Davies pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and robbery at the High Court in Glasgow and has been remanded ahead of sentencing, the BBC reports.
