And finally… accused reveals all in court

An Irish judge was left stunned last week after a man accused of assault interrupted trial proceedings by dropping his trousers and exposing his rear-end and genitals to the court.
Brothers John and Brian Joyce were before Ennis District Court on charges of assaulting a 17-year old man.
After Judge Patrick Durcan refused bail to 18-year old John, his 21-year old brother Brian launched the bizarre visual assault upon those present.
After mooning the judge, Mr Joyce turned around, shouted and exposed his penis.
Garda reinforcements were called to deal with the disturbance and proceedings were briefly suspended, before the brothers were remanded in custody.
Garda Inspector Tom Kennedy said afterwards: “In all my time working in court, I never seen an indecent display like I witnessed today.
“What happened was incredible and to see someone moon at a judge and then show his genitals to the court and hold them in his hand was an affront to the administration of justice in the court.”
He added: “Why someone would do that, I just don’t know.”
