And finally… puny judges

A comic strip mocking judges has been removed from public exhibition.

The government of the Balearics was forced to take down the offending art, which implied judges were out-of-touch misogynists, after a judicial backlash.

It was part of a government-sponsored show at Palma de Mallorca’s main bus and train station.

The comic strip depicted a judge asking a woman shown wearing a sling why he should believe she suffered abuse by her husband given that she was still alive.

Spanish judges said it was defamatory.

The artist, Diana Raznovich, said humour allowed people to see things from other perspectives by lowering their defences. She added that some judges had not caught up with the times.
