Aberdeen rapist jailed for seven years
A man from Aberdeen has been jailed for seven years after raping a young woman almost a decade ago.
Alisdair Euan Randalls was convicted at the High Court in Aberdeen on April 11.
The 30-year-old was found guilty of attacking and raping his victim at an address in the city on December 3, 2015.
On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Randalls was jailed at the High Court in Glasgow.
His name was previously added to the sex offender’s register for an indefinite period.
Procurator fiscal for High Court Sexual Offences, Katrina Parkes, said: “Alisdair Randalls is now behind bars and our thoughts are with all those affected by this kind of depraved behaviour.
“He is a predatory individual who will now have to face the consequences of his actions. “Hopefully this conviction helps bring some comfort while also protecting other women from the harm Randalls has shown he’s capable of causing.”
