TLT takes on Tough Mudder to support mental health awareness

Following Mental Health Awareness Week in May, six brave people from TLT in Scotland are taking on the Tough Mudder challenge in Dumfries on Saturday 16 June to raise money for the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).

The 2018 Scotland Mud Run is a gruelling challenge involving ten miles of hills, trails and mud and more than twenty obstacles including an electric shock field, ice bath and mud swamp.

SAMH was founded in 1923 and operates more than sixty services in communities across Scotland. These services – together with national campaigns including See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, sport and physical activity – provide support for those experiencing mental health issues and aim to influence positive social change.

The TLT team has a JustGiving page and is welcoming donations in the lead up to the event. The team includes Niall Hassard, Karen Cornwell, Jonathan Rennie, Carol Dobson, Alan Munro, Stephanie Provan and Cameron Shaw.

TLT has an active charity committee in Scotland and was shortlisted for the Community Contribution Award at the Scottish Legal Awards 2017.
