Sir Anthony Seldon to deliver annual law lecture in Aberdeen

An Aberdeen-based student law project’s annual lecture will be delivered this year by Sir Anthony Seldon.

Sir Anthony, the award-winning political biographer and vice-chancellor of the University of Buckingham, will deliver the Aberdeen Law Project’s annual lecture next month on the topic of leadership.

CMS is sponsoring the event and will provide a skills training session for student attendees.

Sir Anthony commented: “It’s an honour to be invited to give the annual lecture for the Aberdeen Law Project.

“The ALP is an astonishingly successful initiative demonstrating outstanding qualities in the students who lead it.

“They are helping so many people in the local community while also enriching their own experience.”

Jonathan Goodyear, deputy student director of the project, said: “We are excited to welcome our distinguished guest speaker, Sir Anthony Seldon, to Aberdeen and are eagerly anticipating what is sure to be an excellent talk on leadership.

“Sir Anthony is a political commentator, contemporary historian and award-winning author with over 40 publications.

“He is passionate about education and a world acclaimed expert on the subject of leadership.

“We are truly privileged to have Sir Anthony speaking at our annual lecture and look forward to a capacity crowd on the day.”

The lecture will be held on Wednesday 3 October from 17:30 at the Kings Conference Centre Auditorium, University of Aberdeen and will be followed by a reception.
