Harper Macleod has hit a landmark figure of having 20 lawyers based in its Inverness office and has ambitions to grow further. The firm, which since 2004 has been the largest Scottish law firm with an office in the city, now has one of the biggest legal teams on the ground in Inverness.

The milestone comes with the addition of four new faces at Alder House in Cradlehall Business Park – covering specialist areas as diverse as corporate law, crofting, dispute resolution and residential property.

The firm has been joined by new recruits Angela Gray and Elizabeth Wilson, while two other solicitors – Louise Torr and Angus Brown – have relocated from Harper Macleod’s offices in the central belt.

Chris Kerr, lead partner of Harper Macleod’s Inverness office, said: “Since we established this office 13 years ago, it’s been a story of steady growth and expansion, driven by demand and backed by significant investment and a commitment to becoming the major player in legal services across the Highlands and Islands.”

He added: “Last year we doubled our office space in anticipation of growing the team even further and it’s great to see this come to fruition.”
