Govan Law Centre’s Mike Dailly will be the keynote speaker at the Scottish University Law Clinic Network annual conference, which has as its theme this year virtual pro bono and how it might be applied in the community.
Mr Dailly told Scottish Legal News: “This event will provide a fantastic opportunity to explore how the resources, reach and impact of Scottish University Law Clinics can be empowered to benefit more people in Scotland.
“I intend to explore recent development in delivering virtual legal services, advances in fintech and the potential for fintech cross over to enhance legal services. In particular, Govan Law Centre believes there is a significant unmet need for public interest strategic litigation in Scotland.
“It will be really helpful to discuss how law clinics might work more effectively with community law centres to help tackle this unmet legal need in Scotland.”
