Aberdeen firm Lefevre Litigation has announced that Liam Mcallister has been assumed as an equity partner with effect from 1 July 2018.

Gregor Kelly, senior partner, said: “Having shown a keen interest in our firm as a student at Aberdeen University, and great promise when we offered Liam a traineeship, he has now realised his potential and matured into an excellent Criminal Defence Lawyer.

“He is personable and knowledgeable and extremely caring with clients, as one would expect from the son of the now retired Criminal Justice Social Worker, Anne Mcallister.

“He has an infectious enthusiasm for the difficult work we undertake and has an all embracing attitude, whether appearing in the Justice of the Peace Court or conducting challenging Jury Trials. Liam has just reward for the commitment he has put into Lefevre Litigation and will be a pivotal figure in our continued success.”

Mr Mcallister has just retired after two years as Aberdeen Bar Association (ABA) president, in which role he addressed the Justice Committee at Holyrood, hosted Jerome Buting of Making a Murderer fame as well as two memorable ABA dinners.
