Burness Paull has secured a quartet of accolades for its intellectual property law practice.

Having been awarded a gold rating by the World Trademark Review (WTR), Burness Paull is now top ranked in each of the four main IP directories: WTR, Chambers, Legal 500 and Managing IP/IP Stars.

Burness Paull is recognised as running one of the busiest IP litigation practice in Scotland and Colin Hulme (pictured), who heads up the IP team, is described by WTR as “the firm’s IP talisman and an elite IP litigator, considered by many to be second to none in Scotland”.

Partner David Goodbrand and senior associate Neeraj Thomas are also praised by the WTR.

Mr Hulme said: “This is a brilliant achievement which is all down to the talent and hard work of the team. I am especially pleased that WTR recognises that we are driven and motivated by what makes commercial sense for the client.

“It is great news that we have been able to complete the full set of top rankings in IP directories - and we will continue working hard for clients to make sure we stay there.”
