During his devilling period, David has gained significant experience of contractual disputes and professional liability involving solicitors, tax advisors, accountants and surveyors. David also has experience of the winding up of companies and property disputes both during insolvency and between solvent parties.

Kirsty Tyre also calls today having gained experience of commercial and insolvency law during her devilling year. Prior to calling, Kirsty worked as a solicitor at a leading Edinburgh firm in the professional indemnity and insurance litigation team in both Edinburgh and London. Kirsty acquired a broad range of experience in professional liability in which she has a particular interest, representing a number of professionals including construction and engineering firms, accountants and surveyors. Kirsty also worked on a number of planning cases, in particular Statutory Appeals involving wind turbines.

Alastair Duncan QC, director of Axiom Advocates, said: “Axiom is always eager to build on its existing strengths, and we are delighted to welcome two new members who have a great deal to offer in our core areas. We wish them every success in their careers at the Bar.”
