Solicitor (Litigation)
Falkirk Council is inviting applications from talented, adaptable and enthusiastic solicitors to join our legal services team on a full time permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide advice and representation across the full range of Council services, with a particular emphasis on social work representation and advice. Experience in the areas of childcare, incapacity and mental health law with associated Proof experience would, therefore, be advantageous. Candidates with experience of court work arising from other areas of local government law such as housing, general debt recovery work, employment, education and licensing would also be considered.
The post offers excellent opportunities to combine a fulfilling and challenging role within a supportive team environment whilst gaining or expanding your experience of local government.
You will require to have a degree (LLB) and post graduate diploma (DipLP), or equivalent. You will also require to be entitled to practise law in Scotland.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to carry out a Disclosure Scotland check.
