Working as part of the growing legal team and reporting to the Head of Legal, duties will include drafting, review and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial contracts, providing legal advice to all areas of the University on a range of matters, supervising the work of more junior colleagues and contributing to the professional development of the legal team.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual, who can provide high quality legal advice in a fast-moving in-house environment. The successful candidate should:
- be adaptable with the ability to acquire an understanding of new areas of law
- have a practical solutions-based approach underpinned by a strong understanding of legal risks
- be able to work well both independently and as part of a team (with a willingness to contribute to the development of the team)
- be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the HE sector
