Turcan Connell Charity Hockey Tournament raises £7,000 for CCLASP

On Friday 15 September, Turcan Connell hosted its second inter-firm hockey tournament, this time raising £7,000 for its nominated Charity of the Year, CCLASP.The evening saw 12 teams take part in a five-a-side round robin tournament followed by a BBQ and drinks reception. Taking on the team from Turcan Connell, which finished in third place, were 11 of Edinburgh’s top firms and businesses; Aberdeen Standard, Galbraith, Chiene & Tait, Saffery Champness, DLA Piper, Cornelian Asset Management, CMS, Murray Snell, Tcam Asset Management, Murray & Currie, and tournament champions, Ernst & Young LLP.

Alix Storrie, Partner at Turcan Connell, said: “We are very proud to be supporting CCLASP this year and delighted to have raised such a fantastic figure. This is the second time we have run the hockey tournament which is now a fixed event in the Turcan Connell calendar.”

Brenda MacDonald, General Manager for CCLASP, added: “We were delighted to be chosen by Turcan Connell as its Charity of the Year. The staff have really got behind the fundraising campaign with many innovative ideas such as the Hockey Tournament, which through no mean effort on everyone’s part, managed to raise a staggering £7,000 for CCLASP – thank you all so much.”

This brings Turcan Connell’s fundraising total so far for the charity to £10,619.44, with six months of fundraising still to go.
