SLAB invites views on proposed changes to Criminal Quality Assurance Scheme

The Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) has launched a consultation inviting stakeholders to give their views on proposed changes to the Criminal Quality Assurance Scheme and peer review criteria.

All criminal solicitors who have registered with SLAB to provide criminal legal assistance are subject to peer review. The process is overseen by SLAB’s Criminal Quality Assurance Committee.

Please ensure any responses are submitted to us by 5pm on 19 October 2018. Details on how to respond are provided below.

We have published the following consultation paper setting out the main differences between the new draft Code and the current version. The main points for consideration in this consultation are also enclosed. The paper has been set out below or is available as a PDF.
