Shoosmiths has advised Bellway Homes on the launch of a new office in Livingston.

Led by real estate partner Janette Speed, the firm acted on behalf of Bellway Homes Limited to successfully negotiate the lease of the house builder’s new offices in Almondvale Park.

Ms Speed, who is also head of Shoosmiths in Edinburgh, said: “We are very pleased to have been involved in negotiations to secure the new offices in Livingston to support Bellway Homes’ continued expansion in the east of Scotland.

“As a leading Scottish house builder, Bellway Homes has enjoyed considerable growth in recent years. I am very proud that Shoosmiths has acted for Bellway Homes Limited throughout much of this period, including in its drive to acquire key strategic residential development sites across the country such as at Calderwood and the recently launched flagship Shawfair development.

“From a markets perspective it’s very encouraging to see our client further extend its reach with a new East of Scotland division and we look forward to advising our client as it targets further sustained growth with numerous large-scale developments across the country.”

Bellway Homes Limited (Scotland East) will be managed from the Livingston office by regional director Iain Allison and supported by a complement of 26 staff.
