New corporate partner for Morton Fraser

Morton Fraser is expanding its corporate restructuring and insolvency team with the appointment of Alan Meek as a partner in the firm’s Glasgow office.

Mr Meek, a highly regarded practitioner in the corporate restructuring and insolvency sector, joins the 29 strong corporate team at Morton Fraser. In his new role, he will be advising insolvency practitioners, lenders and other stakeholders in all aspects of corporate insolvency and recovery.

Iain Young, partner and head of Morton Fraser’s corporate restructuring and insolvency team, said: “Alan is a distinguished practitioner and is recognised for his work in corporate restructuring and insolvency, an area which we are really keen to build on as a firm.”

He added: “As well as being well versed in insolvency and recovery, we know that Alan’s commercial awareness and pragmatic way of working will make for a great addition to our corporate team.”
