Musab Hemsi has joined Anderson Strathern as a director in the firm’s employment law team.

Mr Hemsi joins from LexLeyton, where he spearheaded the Glasgow team advising across the food and drink, retail, energy, construction, and digital technology sectors. His former clients include Holland & Barrett, Trespass, and Cranswick.

A University of Glasgow law graduate, Mr Hemsi is an accredited specialist in employment law with the Law Society of Scotland and holds the Signet Accreditation in employment law.

Chris McDowall, partner and department manager of the employment team, said: “Musab is a fantastic addition to the team. Not only is he a top class employment lawyer, he builds great relationships with clients and potential clients alike. His proven track record in attracting and advising corporates and SMEs means he will be a great asset.”

Mr Hemsi added: “It’s an exciting time to be joining the highly respected team at Anderson Strathern as we gear up for further growth. I look forward to being a key part of its future success and working with the firm’s clients across many sectors.”

Murray McCall, managing partner, Anderson Strathern, commented: “Employment law has had to move in check with an exceptional time of change over the last couple of years. In the face of legislative changes, the pandemic, Brexit, the importance of employee wellbeing, technological transformation, and all the thinking around the future of work, there has never been such a multitude of factors and trends to consider as an employment lawyer, and indeed for employers and employees themselves.

“Getting Musab on board is a fantastic addition for the firm, coming at a time when we are seeing a big uptick in activity for the team.”
