Experienced solicitor Ewen Brown joins Terra Firma Chambers

Terra Firma Chambers has announced that Ewen Brown has joined the stable having called to the bar today.

Prior to calling, Mr Brown was a solicitor in private practice for 20 years. He became a partner in McClure Naismith in 1999 and from 2008 until 2015 was head of the firm’s dispute resolution teams in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. He became head of disputes at Morisons in 2015.

During his career as a solicitor, he acquired experience in variety of areas including, banking, contract, company, insolvency, partnership, product liability, professional negligence, professional regulation, sale of goods, succession and trusts. He appeared regularly in the Sheriff Court and instructed numerous cases in the Court of Session. He also has experience of different forms of dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation.

He has a particular interest in commercial property and leasing disputes and successfully acted for the landlord in @SIPP Pension Trustees Limited v Insight Travel Services Limited 2016 SC 243.
