Police arrested three men in connection with a burglary after noticing their shoes were covered in fur similar to that on the burgled party’s shedding cat.
The resident arrived home to find signs of a break-in and three people running away.
When Dutch police finally tracked down the trio, they denied involvement, but the cat hair on their shoes gave officers cause for doubt.
Forensics experts are now examining the hair to confirm whether it belongs to the cat living in the burgled home, NL Times reports.
