'10 Years 10 Munros' fundraising challenge kick off for Clan Childlaw this weekend

This weekend Clan Childlaw co-founders Alison Reid and Fiona Jones will be accompanied by Clan team members, family and friends as they begin their 10 Years 10 Munros challenge to mark 10 years since Clan Childlaw opened its doors in 2008 as a free, child-centred, outreach law centre for children and young people.

The challenge is one of a series of anniversary events and fundraising activities lined up for the year ahead. Next on the agenda is Clan’s conference on Friday 11 May in Glasgow which will reflect on ‘Defending Children’s Human Rights in Scotland: Where are we now?’ and look ahead to making the law work better for children and young people in the future.

Principal Solicitor Alison Reid said: “Having completed the Lairig Ghru in lashing rain in May 2013 to mark our 5-year anniversary, we wanted to up the stakes to celebrate 10 years. We’ll start with Ben Lomond hopefully in the sun and aim to complete our 10th - and highest - Munro in September.”

Clan Childlaw are inviting donations to their 10-year anniversary fundraising appeal. More information can be found here.
