He said: “I am grateful to all of Team Lindsays for their participation and for their fundraising efforts and whilst we were undoubtedly very fortunate to be blessed by a rare day of Scottish sunshine from start to finish, the support from the marshals, event organisers, the charities and of course Radio Forth all helped to make for a massively enjoyable day.”

Fundraising efforts by team members through encouraging support from colleagues, family and friends have generated donations in excess of £2,400 so far. The everydayhero fundraising page will be open until 30 June 2017. All funds raised are split equally between the two charities.

Mercy Corps and Cash for Kids are two locally based charities that make a huge impact on lives in very different ways.
