Dundee law firms Baillies and Shepherds Solicitors have announced their merger into a new firm, Baillie Shepherd, with a team of 18.

The new amalgamated firm is headed by the two former firms’ bosses, Alan Baillie and Peter Shepherd.

Mr Baillie said: “We both wanted our businesses to be stronger and bigger and this seemed like a great way to continue to offer our clients high quality of service - and we will be able to offer an even better service than they already get.

“Baillie Shepherrd will be a team of 18 and although a large part of our business is based around property, we will carry on offering all forms of legal services, including wills and power of attorney, family law, private client and small business work.”

Baillie Shepherd has spent six months on a fresh rebranding and the refurbishment of its property office at 45 Union Street ahead of the merger.
