Blackadders LLP raises £1,500 for PAMIS

Blackadders LLP has handed over a cheque for £1,500 to a charity which supports people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their families for a better, more inclusive, life.

The firm surpassed its target for PAMIS (Promoting a more inclusive society) by running a Christmas Jumper Day, a raffle, bake sale and a donation from the partners in lieu of sending out client Christmas cards.

Trainee Solicitor Rachael Delaney, who was instrumental in raising this money, explained why Blackadders LLP were keen to take part and support the Pamiloo.

She said: “The PAMIS Challenge 25 is a great opportunity for teams to work together and raise money for a fantastic cause, and for us, involved spreading festive cheer throughout the office! It is a privilege to donate this money to PAMIS to allow them to maintain the Pamiloo which is so essential to allow all families to experience things which we take for granted.”

Jenny Miller, CEO of PAMIS, received the cheque from representatives Blackadders at the charity’s head office on Springfield in Dundee.

She said: “PAMIS are really delighted not only with the amount raised but also with the enthusiasm, compassion and commitment put in by the team at Blackadders. The PAMIS Challenge 25 was introduced to raise money to fund our mobile Changing Places toilet.

“It is the only one in Scotland and has been travelling across the country to ensure that events such as festivals, sporting events and exhibitions are fully accessible to people with complex health needs. Thank you to Blackadders for recognising the importance of this vehicle and raising this money.”
