Thompsons Solicitors was recognised across a range of categories at this year’s Law Awards of Scotland.Lindsay Bruce senior lawyer from the mass litigation team won “Solicitor of the Year”. Lois Madden from Thompsons’ employment law department won “Young Solicitor of the Year” and the firm’s lung disease department won “Litigation Team of The Year”.
Ms Bruce said: “I’m deeply honoured by this award and would like to thank everyone at Thompsons who has supported me. The work our team do supporting many clients who have suffered huge pain and injury through either faulty medical devices or through historic abuse is very challenging but is work we all relish. I would also like to thank the many charities and support groups we work with without whose help the department would not be the great success it is.”
Ms Madden commented: “I would like to thank everyone in my department for the opportunity to work in Scotland’s leading employment law firm. It’s a great working environment and there is huge opportunity for me to gain more experience and develop my career at Thompsons.”
The work done by Thompsons’ lung disease department is of primary importance to the firm.
